September was a very busy month personal photography wise, mostly with ponies. I am a little late with this months blog (which was due around the 21st of October) due to making some exciting changes to my products and price lists. All will be revealed about that soon.
So, the beginning of September I finally got round to updating my Our Plumtree Miniature Shetland Ponies website! Which required me to take some up to date photographs of this years foals. A few of my favorites are below. You can check out all of our 2015 foals by clicking this link.
Plumtree Peregrine (Perry for short) will be joining another well established stud to become a stallion, once he's grown up a little!
My gorgeous boy, Plumtree Sparrowhawk will be staying right here with me. I love this sweet and unique young man.
Quite possibly our cutest foal ever! Plumtree Gia. She loves cuddles, & I love giving them to her!
Below are a few portraits of my sister & her friends before they attended Doncaster Racecourse's biggest event of the year, The St. Leger. I was very jealous she attended both Ladies Day and Leger Day. I have been before & it is a great day out, especially Ladies Day. At the time I was saving every spare penny for Las Vegas, but it gave me the opportunity to take some photographs of her & her friends before they set off & I rushed off to my other appointments. On both days Natalie was dressed in outfits purchased from a local fashion boutique, Chique in Armthorpe, Doncaster. They have a fabulous range of both casual and occassion clothing, suitable for weddings, races, and proms. They do not have a website, but you can check them out and give their Facebook Page a 'like' HERE.
I just love this portrait of Laura.
My favorite out of the two outfits Natalie wore, She was on of 12 finalists in Eastside Magazine's best dressed lady competition & featured in the magazine!
Our boy became a man! We are very proud to report that our home bred colt, Plumtree Hideaway passed his VVE (Voluntary Vetting Exam) and officially became a licensed stallion! I am very excited about Hideway babies, as he is such a handsome, loving and gentle boy.

A couple of photographs of one of our colts, Camelot (Cammy). We let him and his friend Tokyo into a fresh field, I was hoping they would play... but all they did was eat! I still got some lovely photographs of this gorgeous, loving boy though. He is 3 years old and we will be putting him through his license this winter!
I got a little excited because as you can see, I noticed Autumn colours starting to creep into photographs! Autumn is my favourite time of year for any kind of photo shoots. The colour & light is just beautiful!
On the 20th of September I went to the NCPA Yorkshire Autumn Show, help at Mill Lanes Stables, Selby. I attended to help out a friend, by showing on of her ponies who she bought from us as a foal, Plumtree Dreamcatcher. I have shown Dreamcatcher (Dixie for short) for her owners, Lynne & Terry Day before. Usually she loves to compete, and I have trouble keeping up with her! Unforinately, at this show, she was teething and could not be bothered, so we didn't place very high. Last time I showed her at the same venue we placed third. Luckily, her 'brother' Plumtree Chimaira won enough rosettes for the both of them!
Chimaira is another pony Lynne and Terry bought from us as a foal. He was out of one of my mares, and I named him after one of my favourite bands! He is a 3 year old licenced stallion and has had a fantastic showing career so far! For the last 2 years in a row he has won his category in the shetland-pony.com league tables.
At the show in September Chimera won the 1, 2 and 3yr old class and went on to be reserve Miniature Champion and Overall Junior Champion! Below is a photo of him with his rosettes and sashes!
I also made a few new friends at the show! Including this amazing pair of friends! Jonas the Bullmastiff and his Miniature Shetland Pony friend! Their owners, Richard Allen & his daughter kindly let me take a few photos. How brilliant are they? And Jonas was so laid back and friendly. An absolute credit to his owners.
I also met this adorable couple. I didn't get their names but I had to take a couple of photos as we couldn't believe how white this lady had managed to get the pony's tail! Anyone with light coloured ponies will understand!
Last but by no means least I got chatting to Bill Mangham. Bill and his wife were there showing their beautiful Highland mare. They won the Mountain & Moorland class that morning and were waiting for their other classes that afternoon. I had my eye on this mare most of the morning, she was stood tied to the trailer, as good as gold. I absolutely love Highland ponies, so when Bill came back I went and said hello. His mare is not only beautiful but also had a very calming effect on me. He kindly let me take her photograph.
